Puppy Harry – 3 months
Achievements: Harry Potter’s story is one of surmounting all odds just like the wizard Harry Potter. Harry should have died as a pup. He was born with a blockage in his intestinal tract that, once the pups started on solid food, prevented him from digesting. Harry endured the pain, weakness, and discomfort for months while specialists tried to diagnose the problem. His amazing will to live inspired us all. Marching across the room with a “Guess who I am!” look that melted hearts. Once he was old enough at 5 months he had a very difficult 3 1/2 surgery to remove the blockage — and Harry’s recovery was truly magical!! Harry lives each day to the fullest and is perpetually happy (he does a full body wiggle in greeting and will retrieve any toy and any object at any time). He’s especially pleased to take care of babies of all sorts, even bringing us a baby bunny he’d found in our pasture in perfect, though wet, condition. Harry may not be a show dog or a great hunter like his littermates, but he’s certainly everyone’s favorite companion and demonstrates the epitome of the Rollicking Irish Personality. He is littermate to C.J.
